Meet Tommie

While facing homelessness, Tommie’s main source of transportation was his bicycle. One afternoon he was struck by a hit-and-run driver. The accident left him with multiple injuries. Tommie was admitted to Midtown Medical Respite Center where he was able to get the treatment he needed. Upon discharge, Circle the City connected Tommie to affordable housing. He is now healthy and celebrating three years of being in his home. No longer homeless, Tommie still chooses to ride his bicycle everywhere he goes to stay in shape. Tommie now advocates for the work of Circle the City. He served as our COVID Peer Ambassador during the pandemic to encourage people facing homelessness to get the vaccinated.

Conozca a Tommie

Mientras se enfrentaba a la falta de vivienda, la principal fuente de transporte de Tommie era su bicicleta. Una tarde fue atropellado por un conductor que se dio a la fuga. Tommie todavía elige andar en bicicleta a donde quiera que vaya para mantenerse en forma. Tommie ahora aboga por el trabajo de Circle the City.
