Debbie lost her legs 20 years ago after a brutal attack. Following the incident, ongoing health issues left her homeless. While on the streets, she endured years of being attacked and robbed. During one theft, someone stole her prosthetic legs. After a fall that left her with a broken hip, she went to Downtown Medical Respite Center. While there, Circle the City helped Debbie get new prosthetic legs. After months of physical therapy, Debbie was able to walk on her own. In late 2022, upon discharge, Debbie moved into her own new home.
“Circle the City saved my life, I’m finally living the life I always dreamed of.”
